My B12 gummies turned hard and sugary - safe to eat?
Just opened my new bottle of B12 gummies and they're all clumped together and have a white coating. Is this normal? They were fine last month. Should I toss them or are they still good?
That happens to mine sometimes, especially if they get warm. I think it's just sugar bloom, like chocolate. I still eat them, but I'd check the texture - if they're rock hard, maybe not. But usually they're fine. We've been taking them for years without issues.
I've seen that too. It's likely just moisture or temperature changes. The gummies might get a bit hard, but they should still be safe. However, if they smell off or taste weird, then I'd be cautious. I always store mine in a cool dry place after opening.
Thanks for the replies! They don't smell bad, just sugary. I'll try to separate them and maybe put them in the fridge. But I'm still a bit worried. Has anyone actually had a bad experience with gummies going hard?
Honestly, I've eaten gummies that were basically rocks and I'm fine. But I know some people are extra cautious. If you're really unsure, you could contact the company. But I'd say they're safe.
