Hey everyone! So I've been taking these Beauty Gummies (the ones with biotin and collagen) for about a month now, and I'm loving the results so far. But I'm a huge coffee drinker, and I usually have my morning cup with my gummies. Is that okay? Should I space them out? Also, I sometimes take a vitamin C gummy too. Any thoughts?

Hey GlowGetter! From a medical standpoint, combining coffee with your gummies is generally safe. However, caffeine can interfere with absorption of some nutrients, but biotin and collagen are fine. The vitamin C gummy is actually a good idea because it helps with collagen synthesis. Just keep in mind that taking vitamins with coffee might reduce absorption of certain minerals like iron, but since you're only taking beauty gummies, you should be good. If you want to be extra safe, wait 30 minutes between coffee and gummies. But honestly, you're fine.

I've dug into the research on this. Coffee's polyphenols can bind to some nutrients, but not to the ones in your beauty gummies. However, taking them together might cause slight gastrointestinal discomfort for some people, but that's rare. Also, the vitamin C gummy is a good addition, but don't take it with food high in iron because it can increase absorption of iron, which might not be desired. But as for coffee, you're okay. I'd suggest taking gummies with a glass of water, maybe 15-30 min before coffee to be optimal.

Oh honey, I've been taking my gummies with my morning tea for years! My grandma used to say that vitamins work best when taken with a warm drink, but not too hot. I think people overcomplicate things. Just listen to your body. If you feel jittery, maybe reduce coffee. But otherwise, enjoy your morning ritual!

Biohacker here. Coffee and gummies together? Not ideal. Caffeine can increase cortisol, which might blunt the benefits of collagen. Also, taking fat-soluble vitamins (if any) with coffee might reduce absorption. But biotin is water-soluble, so fine. I'd suggest taking your gummies with a bit of healthy fat (like almond butter) and space them away from coffee. Also, consider taking them at night to avoid any interference with your circadian rhythm. But if you must, at least skip the vitamin C gummy with coffee because vitamin C can degrade in heat and acidic environments. Just my two cents.
