Hey all, I'm about to fly across the country and then hike in the mountains for a week. I want to bring my gummy vitamins but worried about them melting in the plane or in my backpack. Do they survive TSA? Any storage tips? Thanks!

Yo, I've traveled with gummies a lot. They don't melt easily, but they can get soft. Keep them in a cool place, like a carry-on that's not squished. TSA doesn't care about vitamins, but keep them in original bottle or a pill organizer. I've even taken them through international flights. Just don't leave them in a hot car.

I agree! I've also used those small silicone travel containers, but make sure they're airtight. For hiking, I put them in a ziplock with a silica gel packet to absorb moisture. They might get a bit sticky, but still edible. Also, I've heard some gummies are more heat-resistant than others, so check the label.

Environmentally speaking, I'd suggest a reusable tin or glass jar to avoid plastic. But for TSA, you can bring them in a separate container, just might get extra screening. I've done a road trip in summer and they were fine, just kept them in a cooler. Also, if they do melt, you can refrigerate them to firm up, but they might lose shape. Safe travels!
